childlike faith
Hi yall so today, I was leaving the YMCA and as I was walking this little girl and her maybe (older sister or baby sitter) was picking her up from summer camp. I went to open the first door and hold it open for them both and the little girl saw that and charged into the next set of doors to hold them open. As this little girl enthusiastically opened the door she made rushing and loud noises to bring sound to her mighty push of the door. She exclaimed how she’s a strong superhero and that she can do anything because she has mighty superpowers….and this is only the beginning. She starts going on about her superpowers are real and that her older sister can have them too, she just has to believe… this is exactly what made me think of Jesus when He said to have childlike faith…this beautiful faith filled little girl had all the innocence of the ability we have as believers…yet as the fallen world we live in can weather us…leaving us not so innocent. This reminded me today that our calling, our purpose in life, our walk with Jesus needs childlike faith, that we are invincible because of Jesus. Jesus is the one on the throne! No other name, no one else. How beautiful was this little girls faith to despite the logical approach of life that doors may be heavy, but Who lives in me is stronger!
Guys our calling is going to cost us something…our comfort. We can receive our calling in childlike faith, not needing to know the why, but knowing the Who…and DEEPLY, FAITHFULLY TRUSTING THE WHO, JESUS.
If there’s anything this God moment taught me, it was to be Bold about my identity in Christ so others can see my “superpowers” and just like the little girl telling her older sister “you have superpowers too, don’t you see them?”
I’m not meaning name it and claim it…I’m meaning turn to God’s promises and speak the Word that is Living into every area of your life. Become so childlike in belief that God is and already has been working on your behalf. What are your “superpowers” and do you believe you have any?
